What kinds of heavy-duty packing tape does Staples carry?

What is hot melt shipping tape?
For those who need a little extra strength, hot melt shipping tape is the way to go. Hot melt shipping tape provides a stronger bond, seals faster, and takes less time to apply than acrylic tape. This type of tape does tend to yellow with age though, unlike acrylic packing tape.
Should I choose hot melt shipping tape or acrylic packing tape?
Packing can be a pain and you want to make sure that your boxes ship safely. Hot melt shipping tape is a heavy-duty packing tape that can withstand some serious wear and tear, making it perfect for heavy-duty applications. It is also resistant to tears, scuffing, and exposure to some chemicals. Use it for bulk packaging, rough surfaces, and going over edges. Acrylic packing tape is less expensive and is also very effective, but might not hold up to temperature variations or the shifting distribution in tension caused by heavier packages.
