Disappoiting and downgrade from MX 3S
I had all previous MX and had high expectations. MX Master 4 is a downgrade in terms of changes and material quality. It feels slippery and less ergonomic due to slight increase in size.
No onboard storage and requirement for app is ridiculous for a workhorse mouse that people use in corporate. IT doesn't allow 3rd party software download.

What it’s like on the fingers
It feels good in the hand, primary and secondary button and wheel feels nice to the touch. The radial texture for the thumb button still feels odd, to thick of a ribbing, the gap between the raised is too wide, sometimes it feels electric, a low buzzing feeling. May fill it in with sugru to smooth it out.

Could be better…
Connection to the MacBook is erratic at times, requires disconnection, restart, battery removal, its inconvenient. The pointer “jumps” on the screen, becomes hard to control. I also find the top small button’s position hard to access, awkward. The ergonomic design does help with wrist pain.

Good, but miss the old model.
Some very nice features like bluetooth, popup menu, etc., but the ergonomics are anywhere close to the old models. The 2S is my favorite, which I still use - it is well-formed to the average hand, but the latest version seems to want to come out of your hand when lifting it off the mouse pad. Great Mouse for CAD
I purchased this mouse to work with the CAD program Fusion 360. It works very well for that program. It can be customized to add additional functionality specifically for Fusion. The mouse to very ergonomic and does not tire your wrist.

Apple Mail Issue
In Apple mail it frequently loses connection so I’m unable to operate in the Apple mail environment. It’s interesting to note that it ONLY happens in Apple mail, no other application.

Not as comfortable as MX3
Functionally - it's good. However, the MX3 was more comfortable to hold thanks to the curvier shape on the top. The MX3 was filling more naturally - this one doesn't. Not sure why Logitech decided to drop the tried and tested design.
