DYMO LABELWriter 550Desktop
I purchased 3 at once about a week ago. One is already down. I find that the roller gets the "sticky glue" from the labels stuck on it very easily and its a major pain to get it off. I plan to return at least 1 so far. Many of the others that I've purchased before this batch have had similar issues. There has to be a better way.

Garbage Product
Honestly, do not buy this product. I complained about this to Dymo who said they would reimburse me.... but they never sent the cheque. I even tried buying DYMO labels, and this thing didn't work.
Do not waste your money on this. It literally, does not work as advertised, or with their own DYMO labels. Waste of money and time for small business owners.

Poor design, would return it if I could
I’m extremely dissatisfied with the Dymo LabelWriter 550. Beyond the frustrating issue of captive supply (you’re forced to use Dymo’s expensive rolls), the company places adhesive paper on new rolls, which leaves residue behind when removed. This residue causes labels to stick inside the machine, rendering it unusable. To avoid this, you’re forced to waste several label...

Greedy company with no possible way to use 3rd party labels

GARBAGE. DO NOT BUY
I purchased this not realizing that unlike my 450 the new 550 has a DRM (Digital Rights Management) through a RFID tag so I can't use my non-Dymo labels in the new machine. You can only use the way overpriced Dymo labels (10 times the cost). I will be returning both of the Dymo LabelWriter 550 printers ASAP. Will never buy another Dymo printer again.
