Thinking of buying? Factor in two month wait.
I ordered a replacement 1500 VA unit almost one month ago. The order is still open and support is predicting another month. If I did not have a substantial investment in replacement batteries I would be heading to another manufacturer. I would give zero stars if that were possible.

Works well in manufacturing and office
I have bought two of these for a client in the food processing industry to run some motors for 15 minutes until they could complete shutdown.

Nice backup just a bit of learning curve
Deployed three of these in a Datacenter Environment where additional AC lines could not be run.
Great Lan/Wan connectivity, though the SmartConnect Software could be a bit more user friendly.

Solid UPS, Hard to Kill
We pretty much use these for all our clients. Easy to monitor with SmartConnect, easy-to-replace batteries. Just make sure to use brand-name APC batteries as the knock-offs don't work as well.

Excellent Quality
I already own 2 of these. I needed a 3rd for a 3rd server. When the power goes out in a storm, which we have a lot of in Florida, these APCs keep my business going. They also do an excellent job controlling surges. I’ve been using them for over a decade.

Best APC during a power outage
I live in a place where our power goes out what seems like once a month and I work from home so this is not a great setup. However This APC keeps me working when our power is out. Great Backup
Being that I am a programmer and work from home, having a power backup for my computer is very important. While I do not have power outages often, I will occasionally get flickers, and when they do occur I can't work. So by using this, it gives me that extra time to continue working without disrupting whatever I was doing.

Keeps my server and internet up during brown outs

Reliable UPS
This is very reliable UPS. The unit is heavy as it's 1500VA but the shape makes it very stable. There is a fan that turns on only if the unit is operation on batteries. Normally the unit is silent. The runtime on 85W is above 2h which is great.

Thank you for taking the time to review our software and UPS. I am sorry to hear that you ran into issues with our equipment. I do see that you have a SMT1500C and I would make sure if you are using PowerChute Network Shutdown that the UPS has the separate network card installed in addition to onboard Smart Connect software. Smart Connect will not work with PowerChute Network Shutdown. You can add a network card to the unit as well and the part number for that is AP9640 or AP9641 if you want the option to connect a temp probe to the card. I would still recommend reaching out to APCbySchneider support team at your convenience for further assistance in resolving the issue.
