Too complicated
A ruler should be easy to read this is not. I think the basic numbering (in the US that would be inches) should be highlighted in some way so you don’t have to search each time you pick it up. A ruler should have a clear start preferably at the edge this does not. You have to look and confirm repeatedly while measuring in case the “0” line shifted while you are usin...

Best ruler to draw items to scale
I do love this triangular ruler. The only thing that could be improved would be the hardness of the metal. The plastic version though quickly becomes dinged so I would always use this metal version regarding length of life. So far the best I have found.

Too heavy (solid Aluminum) - would like to return it for plastic
Overall a functional scale. But being solid aluminum it's just a bit heavier than I like - it can dent or damage a table if dropped. I prefer the plastic version but it was not available. I would like to return this item.
