EnerGize Mechanical Pencil
Very comfortable in the hand. Just the right amount of texture on the grip. Very stylish appearance. Needed a little more heft, so I added a length of brass tubing inside the barrel. Good solid lead advance. I like the cap retention and the retractable feature.

Excellent for drawing
I love this pencil! It's very comfortable to hold, lightweight, and the lead is absolutely perfect. I'm a watercolor painter and may spend 20 hours drawing out a painting. This pencil is exactly right. I'm so glad I bought it!

Loved (For a Short Time)
I loved these pencils so much upon receiving them that I purchased (5) more. Now, after two years of use I own 10 mechanical pencils that do not feed the lead into the barrel and/or the lead pushes back up into the barrel rendering them useless.

Lightweight, comfortable pencil
The grip is nice and large, non slip. It feels good in my hand. The .5mm is nice for more precise writing. The pencil itself is light weight. This is not a heavy weight metal pencil, itās plastic, which is something I was not expecting. I do find that I like the lighter weight.

Great Mechanical Pencil
These Pentel mechanical pencils have been my favorite writing instrument for years. They are sturdy and reliable. The leads feed well and do not break often. The pencil delivers a consistent fine line. They are a great value.

In store purchase with shipment to my home
I had owned EnerGize 5mm mechanical pencils before but had misplaced all but one. I was going to order two more online but shipping charges were prohibitive. So I stopped into my local Staples box store and the manager ordered the two pencils for me, with free mail delivery to my home... a much better deal!

Nice pencil - looks too much like the pen
The pencil works beautifully, the eraser is easy to access, the lead doesn't slide back in very often. The only complaint I have is that it looks exactly like the roller ball pens, and I'm forever grabbing it and thinking it's a pen. I wish they would distinguish the pens from the pencils.

You have to remove a cap to use the eraser. There is no place to store the cap, it rolls around the desk or you have to hold it in the other hand. What is the use of the cap ???

Love this item
It works great. Love the feel, the way it writes and the way it looks. The only issue I have is getting to the eraser. The cap is very sensitive. If you don't press tightly, it will fall off while you are writing. I wanted to try this because of the pentel energize pens, which are my favorite. Especially the blue.

What can I sayā¦it's a mechanical pencil. I like it so far and it operates just fine. In general I prefer one with the eraser always exposed (since I use it so often) but the cap over the eraser looks nice and I like that it takes longer erasers that can be pushed up further as they wear rather than those that are used up after you wear away just a half. I like it.

Ease of use
Quality of instrument is outstanding. It is lightweight and feels very comfortable in hand and is a joy to write with. It supports either hard or light pressure in writing without compromising the lead. Lead feed is smooth and engages on first tap of eraser cover.

Top Notch Pencil
I've been using the Pentel EnerGize pen and love it so tried the Mechanical Pencil. It's love again. The barrel fits my hand nicely. It's a quality writing instrument. I will reorder this for others at my company.
