Perfect Mechanical Pencil
I use these pencils to take field notes; I've not had the lead break yet! The eraser is easy to access and large (unlike some found in mechanical pencils) and it is certainly capable of handling correction of minor mistakes. I highly recommend this pencil!

Poor quality
Save yourself the hassle. The bottom loosens all the time. The mechanical part that extrudes the lead quite often gets clogged. The erasers are the worst, good luck using them more than once or twice. The steel cap over the eraser is forever coming off. No way I can recommend these. We are going to try the twist erase to see if the quality is any better.

It is easy to use, it looks elegant, it feels very well-balanced, the dumb "bare eraser" look is gone and is placed demurely under the metal cap.

Lead size
Disappointed it was a 7mm lead instead of 5mm. Thicker lead is soft and larger line than fine 5mm size. Sorry I bought it.

YOU WASTE TO MUCH!
I had to laugh, in this world of waste less, use less, safe the planet, the size of the box was ridiculous. The box was use could have been the size for a printer used to ship, not a small single pencil. Maybe for a package of say 100,000 pencils. I was disappointed with this pencil. The bottom section keeps loosening on its own. Frustrating to write with.

metal tab was loose
Loved the way it wrote, but y5he small metal cap over the eraser was loose and it slipped off and gone. Doe5snt affect the usage, just the look. I have contacted pentel for a replacement

Best pencil
I love the Pentel EnerGize Pencil. I have the same pencil at work, which is why I bought one for home. I am a graduate student and I am always looking for a comfortable pencil to take notes with. This pencil works amazing at work, in an accounting office, so I ordered one for home! Glad I did.
