VERY DISAPPOINTED
If you are looking for a mat that will have a stable surface over a deep pile carpet, I highly suggest that you look somewhere else because after much time studying the catalog Staples offers, this was the best I could identify and it is inadequate.

RATING COULD IMPROVE WITH TIME
I like that the mat was delivered flat and not rolled up with memory to deal with and the size is perfect! That being said, it feels soft under my desk chair rollers. I don't see how it can hold up. Chair mat
Very pleased, the mat is perfect for my needs as the chair moves easily on the mat and the beveled edge makes it easy to return the chair to the surface when it is moved away from the desk.

Good solid mat. The last one I purchased lasted about 3 years before it started to break down due to me rolling back and forth in on specific spot. I realized I needed something thicker. Hoping this one last longer.

STICKY
The tape the kept it rolled did not come off 100% and now looks dirty in that area and a little sticky. Less sticky now that at dirt covering it from my shoes.

Carpet chair pad
Works okay I guess, but dents very easily. therefore sliding back and forth is really not possible. Would probably work on flat carpet, but I bought it since it said it was for carpet up to 3/4" thick. This carpet is not even 1/2".

Staples carpet chair mat - working great so far
Very happy with product so far. Bought the 46' by 60" mat, bigger size is great, protects more of the carpet. Shipped fine, label/sticker peeled off fine. Can lay either portrait or landscape, which you can't do if it has a lip. Let's hope it lasts a year at least!

The mat does not let chair roll easily and the chair rollers cause deep depressions in the mat after sitting in one place for a few minutes.

Lasts 8+ years
This is my third. I have two others that are over 8 years old with nearly daily usage. Sure, it's soft, but the hard polycorbon one I got from a certain online seller started cracking after 2 years. These are the ones to get if you want a long lasting one.

Works great nice and big!
This is exactly what we needed in our office. I like that it's large and that I can move around to different spots around my desk without rolling off or tripping under carpet.

The carpet mat is only a few days on the carpet. It is hard yet to judge the quality or durability. The positive feature is its clarity and no vinyl plasticizers odor.

Left dents before really using
Set up the mat in my home office, put the chair on the mat. Hadn't even sat in the chair on the mat and there were already dents in the mat. Dents just make it harder to roll around in the chair
