Easy to use, saves a lot of effort
We've been using this to do our taxes for a number of years and the way it pulls in last year's returns to give you a HUGE head start on this year's return is a god send.

Horrible product that does not work properly
Staples will not let me return this Horrible product, that does not work. I can't even do a Disabled return and not doing deductions apparently. A disable return should not ask for federal taxes. I tried a normal return and want s me to pay thousands. I will buy elsewhere instead. Disappointed in Staples and H&R Block.

NO EV Charger Credit
Block chose not to support the EV Charger installation tax credit - no form 8911. Don't buy HR Block if you want that credit which is typically worth more than $500. And no refund for the software if not bought directly from HR Block,

H & R Block Tax Software
I have used H & R Block Tax Software for years with good success. It does get updated occasionally so I have never had a problem. You get 5 free e-files for the federal tax return but can do more and send them in the mail. The State taxes can be sent in the mail or you can pay to transmit it with your federal taxes. I believe they charge somewhere between $29.95-$39...

Gets the job done
I purchased this because TurboTAX no longer supports Windows 10. Microsoft may have bailed on it, but there is a one year extension for updates, and many, many people still use it. Not cool Intuit.
HRB does not feel as polished as TurboTAX, but it gets the job done. I have used it on and off for decades (since it was known as TaxCut), and it does not look lit has evolve...

Surprise refund
After downloading my 2024 Turbo Tax return my screen showed a federal tax refund of $2,146 before I entered any current data. Can’t get rid of it. Will try starting a new return to see if the beginning refund will go away.
