Bricked after 2 years
The hardware is ok, software is absolutely awful. iOS app could connect to bluetooth but not find the device or load any of my information; Windows app would randomly forget my user info. Tried using it today; wouldn't connect to Bluetooth and support says I'm SOL. I thought the terrible app and constant upselling attempts were the worst parts but this thing completely ...

Great for small project's
The Joy Xtra was a birthday gift, about year and haft ago. I enjoy working with it on smaller projects. It’s compact and to store in a small workspace.

I see wonderful project I will complete.
I brought Joy Xtra in February, 2026 and had the hardest time cutting a project. I called a friend and she walked me through the process twice before it finally begin the cut.

Great for beginners like myself. Don’t look at to many YouTube videos it can by overwhelming. Take your time with trail and error. It will become easier.

I love my Joy xtra
I love the size for smaller projects. I don't have to drag out bigger machines. I do wish the cutting mat would not curl up on sides.

Love my Joy Xtra
My family gave me the Joy Xtra for Christmas in 2023. I have used it to make cards, shadow boxes, tshirts, onesies for my Granddaughter and so much more! I would love a larger machine someday but for now I am happy with my Joy Xtra.

I had bought an HP laptop to work with the Cricut and I had many,many difficulties. I believe they were on the HP part. I now have bought an Apple MacBook Air and things are working out beautifully.

Great size.
I like the compact design of this machine. I can take it anywhere with me. I currently have it at my office sitting on my desk and it takes up very little space. It’s the perfect size to make things for my office. I also love that I can work on things during my breaks without having to plan ahead to bring everything with me.

I’ve only used it a couple times, I bought it because I needed something small that I could take with me when traveling that would do more than the joy, but it’s still a little big and heavy. Wish I would have waited on the new joy2 that would have been perfect.

Great buy
I finally opened this Christmas gift this week to use. I thought that it is small enough to sit on a table next to my desk and that it works just like my larger Cricut! Looking forward to taking it with me for my next weekend crop.

Maybe smaller in size but is big in Craft-ability.
I received the Cricut joy xtra as a gift after requesting it. I love that I can get it out and craft wherever I am. Even if I can’t get to my craft room I can still be creating. I knew I would use it but even I am excited with everything it can do in my creative world.
