Workhorse Printer
This is my 3rd HP Laser jet printer over the last 12 years. These printers are a workhorse. The HP Laser jet Pro MFP 4101fdw wireless printer is easy to use and prints beautiful, clear copies.

don't buy
I bought this to replace my old HP that was just slow. This printer has been a disapointment.Constantly just shuts off in a permanant sleep mode and won't wake up with out a power cycle. Says add paper when tray is full. Screws up priniting on both sideson jobs. I've tried updates andproblems still persist. Not recomended

Scanner can have issues
The overall printer is good, however have experienced problems with scanning as the printer looses the connection to the desktop even though it is connected by USB cable.

Trouble printing to envelopes and to check stock
Envelopes will more often than not get jammed and checks will sometimes print twice, once on check stock, once on regular paper that's behind it in the tray

Poor scanning
If you need to scan, do not buy this machine. It takes five tries to scan anything that is multiple pages. To their credit, Staples replaced it once, but the new machine continues to grab multiple pages every time, no matter the paper type. Nightmare for a paperless office.

The new laser jet printer
So far the printer is almost as good as the Laser jet 4050 that it is replacing. I loved that printer up til I could not get a printer replacement for the ink. If I can find some one to replace that both will be in use for a long time.

Bought an HP Pinter/scanner. it stopped printing with a note that there is a paper jam. There is no paper jam and nothing is stuck inside! Staples told me the sensor must be broken.
