Great printer
This is my second brother printer, having to replace my first and only other one after about 6 years. The ink goes a long way. This printer, J1170W is super fast. Only down side is that it’s noisier than my previous brother printer. Overall, great printer for my home printer needs and economical. I would recommend this

Will stop printing at any time
As soon as this printer detects that one of four ink cartridges (yes, just one of the four) is low, it will stop printing and refuse to print anything more until the cartridge is replaced. Mind you, this will happen in the middle of a print job with no warning whatsoever. The preceeding pages that did print will look perfectly fine so you know there is ink still in the ...

not compatible with chromebook
although your website states that the Acer Chromebook plus 514 is comparable with the HL-L2460dw, it isn't. Waste of my time. Guess I should have gone with canon or hp. Will be returning printer today

excellent printer
This replaced my worn out HP printer. It is much nicer to use. It’s spatial footprint is smaller, it boots up quicker, its controls are clearer, scanner easier. It’s more esthetic. Of course, inkjet color is not up to laser printing but it’s sufficient for me.

Great All-in-One Printer.

New Printer
Never had a Brother product before. Always HP. But so hard to get help with HP. Computer guy recommended Brother. Easy to set up. Seems a bit noisy compared to HP printer. Still can't change recommended password.

Excellent Value - Easy To Setup
This printer came with clear easy to understand documentation. Had it up and running in about 1/2 hour. It is a versatile printer capable of connecting by Wi-Fi, Ethernet or USB. It provides printing, copying and fax. It quickly responds to requests. And it has a reasonable price. Very satisfied.

Good replacement printer
My old J870DW began to fail and I needed a replacement. This printer does the same but even faster and better. I don't use all of the features such as fax. All I need is a double-sided printer with occasional scanning. The only thing this printer does not do that I miss is the ability to print on inkjet-printable CDs and DVDs.

Upgraded Wireless printer
Upgraded from a 10 year old Brother All-in-One Printer because Wireless connection stopped working off and on. Installation of new printer worked seamlessly. However, Wireless stopped when replacing an ink cartridge and needed to reinstall wireless. Also replacement black ink cartridges hard to fine. Would check that out before purchasing printer.

not user friendly
This printer is NOT user friendly. Set up took forever to figure out. Printing is very slow. I purchased 2 months ago and now every time i press print, i have to open and close the ink door.

Can’t get Ink! DON’T BUY
I bought this last September for my Non Profit business and since February, you can’t get ink for this model. Staples won’t take it back and the manufacturer claims no responsibility.
