Inadequate product
Why am I unable to buy any black ink cartridge LC401.I have done my research and ready to order the corresponding machine, but why would I if I can’t buy black cartridges. I have looked at four different places to order and all are out of stock. I need the machine now, and I can’t have it run out of ink with no cartridges available to purchase.

Loved it. This is my second Brother Copy Machine. Just wish the ink would'nt go so quickly.

Printer drinks the ink!!!
You must think we’re all wealthy. Ink runs out even with minimal use. I don’t use it for business just sporadic personal use (like printing a recipe. Will never by a Brother again

No way 200 pages
I may have printed 25 pages max and now I’m out of colored ink; my other non brother printer would let me print in black and white but not this printer if I’m out of yellow

Not sure if the one I ordered was faulty or what.....
I just ordered a brand new printer recently and this was my first big print job. I was so excited to be able to print out Property Newsletters for my 98 unit apartment complex. I was only able to print about 40 copies and the yellow ink ran out!!!!! I was so disappointed because I had to stop and print the rest on my old black and white copier.

Store only had XL capacity in stock. They ordered regular capacity for me and it arrived next day. Like most ink jet toner, it's expensive for what you get, but my elderly parents don't print much.

Hard to find cartridge
Just after the initial head cleaning, the ink level went from 200 to 180?!
