Don't buy this printer. It will not allow you to print using any other labels than Dymo's proprietary label rolls which cost triple and contain a RFID tag. You are stuck in Dymo's ecosystem.

Awful Printer-Waste of Time and Money
The worst printer I've ever used in my life routinely wastes several labels and forces you to utilize its antiquated software.

Only works with expensive Dymo labels
Dymo 4x6 labels cost 10x the generic versions. Dymo 4XL works amazing - the only update to the 5XL was making it so you cant use cheap labels. 0/5 Would not by again

Forces you to buy their OVER PRICED labels
Dymo use to be great and I have had several Dymo printers over the years but no longer. With the new printers they force you to use only labels that are made by them at an outrageous price instead of being able to buy 3rd party labels that worked for dymo printers. Not as advertised
It said that it was compatible with Stamps.com. It is not! Spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get it to print properly using Stamps.com and it did not work. Ended up returning and purchasing a different brand printer.

Usually Dymo is a good brand so I thought the 5XL would be a smart purchase. A small roll of Dymo labels came in the box. This thermal printer only takes Dymo labels. I spent more than an hour threading the labels through the machine. Once they were in position I could only print one label and the machine jammed. Warning to all buyers... DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER. all new printers from dymo now come with a chip glued on the inside of the label roll and can not use any of your old labels. I've been using the 4XL printers for years and now they broke down and we have many old label rolls we can not use... they want toy to buy their labels for 10 times the price... Im returning this...

Never buy one of these. Giving me the biggest headache with how many issues I’m having. I never give reviews but this one deserves a negative star. Whatever u do don’t buy a dymo label printer 5XL. Returning immediately. If they even let me. Very upset with this.

It's okay
Changing out labels is a pain. It's never a flawless transition and gets very frustrating. The power cable has no grip and falls out if you adjust the printer on your desk every so slightly. Almost like its just a hair too small for the hole. While I like that it prints small or larger packing labels I'm not sure that I would buy a Dymo again after this.

Works well
The printer works well. It is a little hard to feed a new roll of labels into the slot. But you just need to try a few times. The feeder will grab the labels eventually.

HORRIBLE
I WOULDNT BUY ANOTHER ONE OF THESE IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT! Doesn't work with Avery rolls that are compatible and IT DOESN'T WORK WITH ITS OWN ROLLS!!!! TOTAL PIECE OF GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
