A+ trash can, customer service & warranty
We love our trash can so much that I was sad when it broke last week. We have had it for over 4 years so I thought I'd reach out to customer service to see if they would offer a repair. They one upped me and they sent us a brand new one. Very thankful for the awesome warranty.

apartment living at it's finest
We just moved to a smaller apartment that we have to carry our recyclables to the garage and this is perfect with the detachable bucket to collect reyclables, toss, wipe down and return to the can. It also looks sleek and doesn't take up too much space.

Aesthetically pleasing trash can
Due to our homes layout, the first thing you see from our front door is the trash can. This trash can fits with the color scheme and makes what was an ugly trash can a nice focal point. Trash can arrived damaged from shipping. I contacted Simplehuman and they replaced it swiftly. Great customer service.

Iām really glad I purchased this. I wanted a non-messy way of dealing with trash and recyclables in my kitchen. I love the looks of the bin. Iām using the liners and the air freshener pod that came with it. Hereās where I lost a star: the air freshener pod seems useless. Great Design
Simple human products are designed so well. The can arrived dented, but the customer service agent was helpful. They are replacing the can. I only took a star away because the process for return required three responses to emails - each with a different set of inquiries. It adds time onto the process and I also have to pack the can up and drive it to a FedEx location. T...

Everything I ever wanted
Love the dual compartments, the ease of use, and for its size and capacity doesn't take up too mich space. It is not the most affordable, but definitely worth every penny.

Second purchase (different color/finish))
We have this same trash can but in chrome., lasted for years and no issues. It was time for a new trash in a different space so we bought the same one in matte black. This one is just as fantastic, the soft close feature seems even betterāotherwise everything else is the exact same as our older one. Love and worth the money!

Is a great product
It is a great product, though I feel it could be of help to add a little something to lift the lit withow pressing the foot, I feel theres a risk to damage the hinges (I had seen it)

Excellent Customer Service
Had an issue with my refuse container not opening properly. Called Simplehuman to look for a part replacement. It was under warranty and had a replacement within 5 days. Only issue was the colour that we originally purchased was no longer available.

Recycling bin is easy to
Recycling bin is easy to clean. Recycling bin has a handle and spout for easy dumping. Trash bin is not removable, so it requires a bit more work to clean if a bag rips. The top of the can assembly hids the bags very well. The step lever is a bit hard to use and requires more force than you'd expect.

Stylish & Practical
The dual compartment with caddy set is marvelous. I separate waste into compost, recyclable, and general types and was looking for a stylish solution.
